The ABCs of Credit Card Finance is revised yearly to ensure the accuracy of its content and to
continually improve its effectiveness. This year’s materials contain a number of changes in the
“Credit Card Costs” section due to the passage of the Credit Card Accountability, Reliability and
Disclosure Act (CARD Act) which was signed into law by President Obama on 5/22/09 to establish a more fair and transparent credit card industry.
